4-C Administers Early Childhood Readiness Project
Through a grant from the Verizon Foundation, 4-C will be administering an early childhood readiness project in Cottage Grove, McFarland, Oregon, Sun Prairie and Cambridge.
The Early Childhood Readiness Project is a partnership between 4-C and the United Way of Dane County, with funding provided by the Verizon Foundation. The goals of the program are to:
Create support for implementation of best practices in early education
Provide training to preschool and child care teachers to develop understanding of elements of early readiness, oral language, math and other developmentally appropriate strategies to use to improve the quality of child are provided
Disseminate knowledge about theory and strategies for supporting early readiness to families and communities
Foster closer ties between schools and early care and eduation professtionals residing in those districts
