The Family Child Care Certification Program conducted by Community Coordinated Child Care, Inc. (4-C) has been contracted by the Dane County Department of Human Services since 1984 and Columbia County Department of Human Services since March of 2004. The Certification Department's objectives are:
- To assist Dane and Columbia County child care providers in obtaining and maintaining standards of regulation (certification) for the health and safety of children in care;
- To help providers succeed in their business practices by offering technical assistance; and
- To offer guidance and grievance procedures for parents of children using certified child care.
NUMBER OF CHILDREN IN CARE
Certified child care providers may care for up to three children under the age of seven with a group maximum of six children, which includes the providers own children under age seven. More information on number of children allowed in care
