Executive Director
Community Coordinated Child Care, Inc. (4-C) is a 3.7 million dollar, non-profit Child Care Resource & Referral agency providing advocacy and support services for child care in Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Jefferson, Sauk County and the Ho-Chunk Nation. The mission of 4-C is to advocate the well-being of children in early childhood care and to assist parents and child care providers in creating quality care. 4-C does this by regulating family child care in 2 counties, providing $2 million in reimbursements for food served by child care programs in 20 counties, training several thousand early childhood professionals each year, providing referrals for parents seeking care, and various other activities.
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership of Community Coordinated Child Care, Inc, including programming, services and staffing. The position provides leadership in the establishment of long-range strategic plans and evaluates the implementation and execution of specific activities related to the strategic plan; supervises and provides coaching, support and guidance to all management staff and provides vision and direction to all agency staff; represents the Agency and advocates for its programs and services in front of various local, regional and state governmental bodies, the regional business community, child care providers, other related not-for-profit agencies and the general community; identifies and develops appropriate funding sources and secures necessary funding to sustain the programs and services of the Agency.
Candidate profile:
- Prior supervisory/management experience with a proven ability to inspire, motivate and develop staff
- Experience managing a budget and overseeing the delivery of services required; prior management experience in a not-for-profit agency preferred
- Fund-raising, grant writing and donor development experience within the public sector required; private sector fund-raising experience desired
- Excellent public speaking, diplomacy and advocacy skills
- Knowledge of and/or passion for early childhood education, public policy and related issues
- Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
- Bachelors degree in Business Management, Public or Educational Administration, Social Work or other related degree; advanced degree preferred
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
