CUNA Mutual Group Funds Business Course for Hispanic Child Care Entrepreneurs
(MADISON/March 30, 2004) – CUNA Mutual Group has announced it will fund a business course for Hispanic child care entrepreneurs conducted by Community Coordinated Child Care, Inc. (4-C). The course will consist of eight weeks of instruction on business plans, marketing, accounting, legal requirements, and professional resources.
Professor Antonio Noguera, U.W. Madison Division of Continuing Studies, will teach the course. The course will be held from 9:45 am – 12:15 pm on Saturdays from April 17th to June 5th at Campus Community Partnerships, 2300 South Park Street, Suite 1. The 4-C Hispanic Program works to address child care needs within the rapidly growing Hispanic population. Community Coordinated Child Care is part of a network of accredited, non-profit Wisconsin Child Care Resource and Referral agencies providing advocacy and support services for child care in Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Jefferson and Sauk counties and the Ho-Chunk Nation. The agency advocates for the well-being of children in child care and assists parents and providers in creating quality care. In addition to the Hispanic Program, 4-C services include child care referral, child care provider certification and training, and administration of the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
